Australia's Mitchell Marsh Unlikely to Bowl in T20I Series Against England

Unsettled Australia Likely to Field Unchanged Batting Line-Up

Marsh Ruled Out Due to Ankle Injury

Australia's all-rounder Mitchell Marsh is unlikely to bowl in the upcoming Twenty20 International (T20I) series against England due to an ankle injury, dealing a blow to the team's bowling attack.

Marsh, who has been a key figure in Australia's T20I side in recent years, suffered the injury during a training session ahead of the first match of the three-match series in Perth on Sunday.

The 31-year-old is expected to be available to bat, but his absence from the bowling attack will be a significant loss for Australia, who are already without pace spearhead Mitchell Starc due to a finger injury.

Australia are likely to field an unchanged batting line-up for the first T20I, with David Warner, Aaron Finch, and Steve Smith all expected to feature.

The hosts will be looking to bounce back from their disappointing performance in the recent T20 World Cup, where they were eliminated in the semi-finals by New Zealand.

England, on the other hand, will be looking to continue their impressive form in the shortest format of the game, having won the T20 World Cup in 2022 and the recent T20I series against Pakistan.
